Steel coil sheets as main differences between hot-rolled and cold-rolled

  • Hot-rolled steel coil sheets:
    These are manufactured by heating the steel slab above its recrystallization temperature and passing it through a series of rolling mills. This process results in a product with a rough surface finish and a slightly rounded edge.
  • Cold-rolled steel coil sheets:
    They are produced by further processing hot-rolled coils through a series of cold-rolling mills. This process involves reducing the thickness of the steel and improving its surface finish. Cold-rolled steel coil sheets have a smoother surface, tighter tolerances, and a more precise dimension compared to hot-rolled sheets.

Galvanized Steel Coil Sheet VS. PPGI

  • Galvanized steel coil sheets:
    They are coated with a protective layer of zinc through a process called galvanization. This coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for outdoor and exposed applications.
  • PPGI coil sheet:
